100% of ticket sales revenue on Saturday 11^th of January to support the Australian Bushfires Relief Efforts

(SURFERS PARADISE, AUSTRALIA, 9 January 2020) – On Saturday 11^th of January, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Surfers Paradise will be donating 100% of ticket sales revenue to support the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery of the Australian bushfires.

Since October of 2019, over 10 million hectares have burned, impacting almost all states and territories in Australia.

“We are heartbroken by the bushfires destroying homes and wildlife all across our beautiful country. However, through this devastation and destruction, our community has banded together. We are thankful for all the first responders and volunteers who have been working tirelessly to help with relief efforts,” said Lisa Tucker, General Manager of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Surfers Paradise.

Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery donations go towards supporting evacuation centres, emergency assistance, first aid, long term-term recovery programs, supporting the volunteers, and helping families and communities affected by the bushfires.

“To show our gratitude for the thousands of people working day and night diligently to help save lives and land, Ripley’s will be donating to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery,” she added.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Surfers Paradise is located at Soul Boardwalk on the corner of Cavill Mall. They will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday 11^th of January. In addition to donating 100% of their proceeds from the day, they will also be accepting additional donations that will go directly to the Australian Red Cross.
